Misrepresentation

If you were lied to or misled when entering into a contract then you may have a right to cancel your contract and claim compensation under what is termed misrepresentation.

A misrepresentation occurs where one party is induced into entering into a contract by another party’s false statement. The false statement can have been made fraudulently (intending to mislead), negligently (carelessly), or innocently (with a belief in its truth)

It is important to seek advice as soon as you believe you may have been misled as you can unintentionally harm your position by continuing with the contract.

Please contact one of the team if we can be of any help.
