Richard is an Assistant Solicitor in our Criminal Department. Based at our Derby office, he joined Elliot Mather as trainee solicitor and subsequently completed his training and qualified as a solicitor with the Firm.

Richard has extensive experience in representing and advising clients in the Police Station and Magistrates’ Court in respect of all types of matters including assaults, dishonesty, drug supply and sexual offences.

Richard has a particular interest and expertise in matters of Military and Service law having served in the Royal Air Force for over 20 years prior to his move into the Law.

He also has considerable experience and skill in matters of Regulatory Law having previously worked for Leicestershire County Council as an investigating officer dealing with matters including Trademarks, copyright and fair trading.
