Rebecca has practiced family law since 2017 and joined Elliot Mather LLP as an Associate Solicitor in August 2024. Rebecca represents parents, wider family members, foster carers and interveners in both private law and public law cases. Rebecca became accredited with the Law Society’s Children Accreditation scheme in early 2024, meaning she can represent children directly and through their court appointed Guardians.

Rebecca has been involved in a number of high profile cases in both the county court and High Court, including adoption, non-accidental injury, sexual abuse, emotional abuse and deprivation of liberty. She works with her clients all the way from the pre-proceedings (PLO) stage through to the very end of proceedings, conducting her own advocacy so her clients have as much continuity as possible.

In relation to private law proceedings, Rebecca advises and represents clients in cases concerning contact, specific issue orders, parental alienation, relocation and enforcement applications. She has strong links to various support services and has vast experience in representing victims of domestic abuse in both children and non-molestation proceedings. She also represents those who face allegations of domestic abuse themselves.

Rebecca is known for her empathetic approach to her clients. She understands that this is often the most difficult time her clients will face and provides clear and practical advice no matter what the situation.
