Hannah-Marie qualified as a solicitor in 2011 and since that date has practiced almost exclusively in family law, representing parents, children, family members, foster carers and interveners both in private law and public law cases. Hannah-Marie has been a member of the Law Society’s Children Panel since 2014 and joined Elliot Mather’s Nottingham care team in January 2019 as an Associate solicitor. Hannah-Marie has been involved in a number of high profile cases involving issues including physical abuse, sexual abuse, emotional abuse, adoption and international elements. She understands the importance of continuity of representation and wherever possible will try to conduct her own advocacy.
Hannah-Marie is also able to assist and support clients at the pre proceedings stage, attending PLO meetings and ensuring that her clients receive fair and thorough assessments and the correct support to enable them to care for their children.
In relation to private law proceedings, Hannah-Marie can advise and represent clients in cases concerning contact, specific issue orders, parental alienation, relocation and enforcement applications. She is also able to advise and assist both victims and those accused of perpetrating domestic abuse.
Renowned for her bubbly and approachable attitude she puts clients at ease, taking time to get to know them to ensure she fully understands their case. Hannah-Marie is skilled at representing vulnerable clients, including those with additional learning needs. Hannah-Marie regularly represents children and teenagers in Court and will ensure that the Court is aware of what their wishes and feelings are to ensure that their voice is heard within the proceedings.
