LLP Member and Head of Department
Lee is a Solicitor and the head of the Dispute Resolution department. He predominantly works at our Mansfield and Nottingham offices. He qualified as a Solicitor in 2008 and joined the firm in 2014 as an LLP Member having previously worked at various large regional firms throughout the East Midlands over the last 20 years. He is very familiar with the local area having been brought up and raised in Chesterfield.
Lee has considerable experience in all areas of general civil and commercial litigation and has dealt with cases at both County and High Court level and has on a number of occasions dealt with matters that have reached the Civil Court of Appeal.
He is specifically renowned for his property litigation and contentious probate work. Recently he acted on a high value intestate case, a challenge to the validity of a will on the basis of lack of capacity, a breach of trust claim, a high value inheritance act claim and a challenge to the will on the basis of undue influence.
He regularly acts for a number of property investors and developers in and around Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire in respect of all forms of property litigation including, forfeiture and relief from forfeiture claims, dilapidations, lease renewals, boundary disputes, commercial landlord and tenant disputes, rent arrears, mortgage and other repossessions, TOLATA disputes and planning disputes.
Being involved in a dispute is never a pleasant experience. It is a complex procedure and can be extremely stressful and daunting for all involved. Lee has extensive and specialist knowledge which will ensure that the process is as stress free as possible.
